San Francisco Waldorf School has a long tradition of active parent
involvement in the Parents Association, which was founded by parents
as a support for the faculty in 1985. The Parents Association serves
as a school-wide organization to support the work of the faculty,
board and administration of the school. All parents of students
in the school are members of the Parents Association. Our goals
include:
- Community building through festivals, new parent orientations,
diversity awareness, newsletters, mentoring and special events.
- Fund raising through the scrip program, benefit events and
the sale of Waldorf-related products.
- Parent education through lectures, classes, study groups and
special presentations.
- General support of the school’s operations such as the
library, building, grounds and gardens.
