The role of San Francisco Waldorf School’s development office
is to build relationships with and generate gift support from parents, alumni, grandparents, friends,
corporations, foundations and the general San Francisco community.
SFWS relies increasingly on philanthropic support to maintain the excellence
of its education.
Through festivals, performances, lectures, community service, our
web site and publications, we are making an effort to connect with
our broader community. The development office seeks to inspire our
community so they will help to provide sufficient resources to keep our
school thriving.
Programs available for our donors are:
Annual Fund
Restricted Gifts
Other Gifts
Approximately 8% of the School's operating budget is raised each
year through unrestricted contributions to the Annual
Fund from Waldorf families, staff, alumni,
corporations, foundations, and friends.
To make a contribution to the Annual Fund, please Give Now online or send
a check to:
San Francisco Waldorf School
2938 Washington Street

Occasionally, a need arises at the School that is outside the ordinary budget process. The School is grateful to those individuals who generously provide funding specifically designated for these items. We are currently seeking restricted gifts for capital items such as musical instruments, pianos, scenic equipment, library books and furniture.
In previous years, funds have been established for
scholarships, memorial gifts, a senior class gift to
the School, and supporters of a Waldorf parent who has
run in numerous San Francisco Marathons to raise funds
for the School.
To learn more about giving opportunities or to contact
a Development Associate about making a gift, please call (415) 931-2750 or email development@sfwaldorf.org.
